Deep. Brilliant. Heart-felt.

Garnet is one of the most diverse gemstones, as it comes in an extraordinary range of colors. The name “garnet” originates from the medieval Latin “granatus“, meaning “pomegranate”, in reference of its red color. Red garnet is one of the most common and widespread colors but also available in a rich palette of greens, oranges, pinkish oranges, deeply saturated purplish reds, and even some blues. Thousands of years ago, red garnet necklaces adorned the necks of Egypt’s pharaohs. In ancient Rome, signet rings with carved garnets were used to stamp the wax that secured important documents. Some believe the true value of the garnet gemstone is its power to bring the wearer good health, wealth and happiness.

Garnet is the birthstone for January and the gem for the second anniversary.
