Tanzanite
Vibrant. Luminous. Magical.
Tanzanite was discovered in 1967, near majestic Mount Kilimanjaro and named in honor of its country of origin, Tanzania. To date, it is still the world’s only source for this vibrant gemstone. Tanzanite is often described as luminous and velvety, due to its deep, saturated color. It ranges from a pure rich blue to violet, with blue being considered the most valuable. Tanzanite can enhance awareness, awaken the heart and elevate mood.

Tanzanite is a birthstone for December, along with zircon, turquoise, and blue topaz. Tanzanite is also the gem for a 24th anniversary.
Jewelry care:
Tanzanite is not great for everyday wear, and one should take care when wearing. Avoid exposure to heat and sudden changes in temperature. Avoid contact with chemicals. To clean, gently scrub with a soft tooth brush and a solution of mild dish soap and warm water.
